We just had new vinyl siding installed and needed to protect an area where the reflection from a window melted the previous siding. This was very easy to install and very minimal look so you barely notice it on the glass. It’s been 30 days and so far working as promised. We will see as the seasons change if it will hold up.
Very quick delivery which was nice. Hopefully this will work to eliminate burning of our new artificial turf. I don't like the look of the "white" one at all. The black one is much better which is probably why it costs more.

Was skeptical at first but needed something to stop the glare from my neighbors windows. Ordered the clear and installed myself exactly the way the video described. It was super easy to put on and I felt completely comfortable working with it 20’ up a ladder. Took my time so I didn’t need to try and pull it off the window at all. We had some bad weather the next few days so it took a while to check out the function of the film but it did not disappoint. The reflection from each window was almost gone! Now I can have my siding replaced and finally feel comfortable that I won’t have to do it again in a couple years. Really pleased with this product. Thank you!
We recently moved from South Florida to Northern Florida, and the new home we bought had “Low E” windows installed, which I had no idea could cause serious damage by reflecting and focusing sunlight like I use to do as a kid with magnifying glasses. Started noticing a striped melting effect on my truck cap and couldn’t figure out what was causing it. Was talking with my dad about it and he mentioned houses in his neighborhood in NC where the siding was welting on houses from reflecting sunlight. I checked with my builder and we do have Low E windows. Googled a solution and your company popped up, very professional website, user friendly and informative. Placed an order, received it yesterday and installed it right away so I can park my truck by the garage again with peace of mind. My husband and I were able to apply the covering after realizing that our side window was causing harm to my neighbors vinyl shed and truck cap and was surprised to see his items on your site. 😄 I had no idea until he told me about it. The window was installed in 2010 and it’s sad how the majority of people have no idea that these windows are causing so much damage to vinyl things outside in its line of direct sunlight.
The clear anti-reflective film arrived as expected (on-time and in good condition). I bought the recommended dry install kit, which also worked as expected (although it came with an extra razor pack that was unnecessary). I bought enough to do 2 windows: one started melting the vinyl siding, and the second was above newly install artificial turf.
It applied without a single problem: on a mild day, I ensured the glass was clean (not with Windex), I slightly peeled the backing on one of the straight edges and aligned it to the top of window, then using the splicer cutter I removed excess material, and then began working my way down the window (peeling the backing while using the squeegee to work center-out). One section had some minor damage to the film (about 1/2 x 1/2 inch), but wasn't an issue since the adhesive was still intact. It went on easy and looks great, considering that it is a bit blurry looking from inside out (a fair trade-off for the protection it provides). It has been a month since I installed it, and it has held up well to several long rainstorms. My hope is that it will last at least 5 years - time will tell. I am very happy so far.
This product seems to work well--temp at the point of contact where damage was happening seems a lot less, but the product is hard to apply without wrinkles.
I ordered this material to try to address melting siding which was just replaced due to melting from sun reflecting on the siding from some windows on my house. I hadn't done anything before as the damage had already occurred, and conventional solutions offered were costly and not guaranteed to work, or solutions were less desirable, i.e. add screen, use single-pane glass, etc. This product from Reflect Defense seems to have addressed the issue (5 stars). As far as application, I pre-cut sections to install. The film material is more flexible than I anticipated after I had removed the backing so wrinkles were fairly easy to create. I first used a frosted glass product and applied it to the exterior to prevent the suns rays getting to the inner pane on double-paned windows This worked well and was easy to apply as it used a soapy water solution to adhere it. The solution allows it to re-align as needed. However, it was not intended for exterior use and was a stop gap while I waited for this Defense Film. Anyways, I thought this defense film would be just as easy to install though I knew it was not a "wet" install. I didn't anticipate it to be so stretchy and trying to smooth out the wrinkles with a squeegee wasn't affective. The windows are high on the house so it doesn't seems too bad and I can live with it so far but installation is a 3 star.

I installed the film on 4 windows at my clients house. It was easy to install. Client very happy with film and the install.
I had questions regarding the reflect defense film as to which product to chose to put on our 2 skylights because they were reflecting on our vinyl siding causing it to melt. I reached someone who explained the entire process, which was much appreciated. We placed our order which was fairly easy and we received our package very quickly. My husband applied the film to the first window with no problems, but had trouble getting it straight on the second window and ended up tearing the film. So we ordered a new piece, which again, we received very quickly, and he applied it with no problem! It looks great from the inside looking out, but we cannot comment at this time on whether or not it will protect our new vinyl siding from melting because it has only been on for approximately one week! But after speaking to their customer service, we feel confident and trust that this product will eliminate that reflection, and therefore, keep our vinyl siding safe from warping and/or melting!!
I installed the film about a week ago, by myself a 65 year old woman. I live in the high desert (Hesperia) and on the two days it took to install, not due to the product but rather the weather. It was very windy on the days that I installed the film, I didn't really have a choice of waiting since my turf was already showing signs of the heat. As you can imagine, I have several wrinkles in the film, I tried to raise the film off the glass but was afraid of pulling too hard and tearing the film so it's good enough. It will do the job and some of the wrinkles have settled. I'm hoping for the 4-5 years of use up here in extreme weather. It can be below freezing in the winter and weeks of over 100 degrees in the summer.
We got this so that our new turf doesn't burn with the window reflection. It was easy to install and works as described. I thought it would be harder to see through but it actually doesn't cause blurriness or anything out the window.
The white reflective film I purchased met our expectations. A litte expensive, but I wanted the high-quality I received. Installation went according to the easy to understand video.
Neighbors were anxious that the glare from our upstairs window was creating hot spots in their living room. I put window film on the window and the glare was cut in half and the heat was reduced by 75%. Neighbors are relieved.
Had to order for a window and a sliding glass door after we had turf installed in the back yard. Product went up good but it is thin and you have to be very careful to not rip or have it crease over. But definitely good to DIY and product works as expected! Customer service is great too when I ordered wrong at first.
The sun reflecting off our windows was melting the siding on our garage. You could see the beams of light coming off like the sun thru a magnifying glass. After placing reflect defense the temp and focus of light coming of the windows is significantly less.
Prompt shipping and installed easily myself. The installation videos on the website are very helpful. Products also looks great on the windows. Hopefully will hold to the test and not reflect sunlight.
First time we have ordered. The reprehensive was very, very helpful on the phone while ordering. Received the item very quickly. Very easy to install, and was just enough that we ordered for the one window. Now just waiting to see how well it works. We installed about a month ago and so far now damage. We are hoping that it will
last thru the summer months.
In the photo you’ll see on the right I followed their instructions and on the left I followed my own. I applied the very top and smoothed it out slowly in a downward motion as I removed the backing. Once this material adheres to a surface it’s really hard to remove without it tearing because of the perforations.
It is impossible to know if it works or not with just a few days. I have to wait at least until this summer comes and goes. The only thing I can say as of now is that the view from the inside to the outside is not that bad. You can actually see outside pretty good, considering the film is there.
Applied black to my neighbors windows that had burned my siding, windows are new since hurricane Irma. I had to replace repair damaged T1-11. It was very easy to install.
I was skeptical at first that this would would but it worked exactly as is advertised.. I was having problems with my deck furniture melting from reflecting light from upstairs windows. This product fixed it. The blurring from inside is really minimal and not really any more than a normal window screen. This was worth every penny!
Cool product to prevent further turf melt on my artificial turf. I only wish there was a video to demonstrate wet application. The written instructions were fine, but a visual would be nice. Maybe I just missed it on your site.
