Had new vinyl siding installed and was told about a few places where reflection off windows caused a few ripples in old siding. After much searching on how to remedy this I found this product. Very pleased with the black screen I chose to install. Installation was easy, just like the video showing how to install. After the screen was installed, the view out of the window was darker but still very good. Still trying to figure how to get some adhesive off the outside of screen but very pleased with this and feeling good about knowing the siding should be protected from warping.
The material seems high quality. Installation was pretty easy (once you learn a few lessons). We’ll see how it holds up in the brutal sun of my back patio!
After ordering the sample kit to see which product would work the best, I chose the product that very closely matches the window screen in the lower window. After viewing the DIY install video, I followed the dry installation procedure, which worked. The only issue I had was that the install on my house required the use of a shifting ladder, which made it a little more difficult because of having to stand on the ladder to get close enough to the window. The product does work.
What everyone says here it’s true, the first window you do is a bit tricky. Take it seriously and take your time with that first one. After that it’s smooth sailing and the product feels premium. Will see over time!
The outdoor tint looks nicer than expected. It does not impact the view from the inside which is important to me.
